Jim Pettinger is CEO of Realogic. He oversees the company’s day to day operations, helps set its long and short-term objectives and plays a crucial role in all strategic initiatives. Jim is responsible for developing, implementing and refining our internal processes that ensure all Realogic assignments are completed on time, within budget and accurately. In addition, he is responsible for researching, purchasing and implementing new technology that enables our teams to work quickly, efficiently and meticulously on behalf of our clients.
Jim has worked in commercial real estate for 32 years and is expert in many facets of CRE consulting and management, including due diligence, lease administration, software and technology implementation, financing, budgeting and forecasting. Prior to joining Realogic, Jim was a staff accountant at Meaden & Moore, an international accounting and financial consulting firm.
The recipient of multiple industry honors, Jim was inducted into the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame in 2025 for his exemplary leadership skills, long list of career achievements, on-going support of and advocacy for the industry and involvement in his local community. In 2024, the authoritative commercial real estate publisher GlobeSt. recognized Jim as one of CRE’s Best Bosses and Crain’s Chicago Business named him one of Commercial Real Estate’s Notable Leaders. The well-deserved recognition reflects his unwavering professionalism, outstanding management and communication skills, deep knowledge of and passion for commercial real estate and proptech and the admirable job he does leading our best-in-class real estate consulting firm.
